Research On Corporate Social Responsibility Of China Security Enterprises

With the deepening reform of socialist market economy in China, it has witnessed a rapiddevelopment of China's financial industry. As we all know, finance is the pivot of the nationaleconomy and the securities industry is the core of the modern financial industry. As the bridgewhich connecting real economy and virtual economy, the securities enterprises occupy a uniqueposition as an intermediary,which have permeated all levels of the social economy, and play a moresignificant role than other enterprises. Therefore, because of their important social role, thesecurities enterprises should take more social responsibilities. On one hand, securities enterprisesneed to provide financial services supporting the expanding domestic demand and the policies ofboosting industry. On the other hand, they need to maintain the financial stability and provideservices for retaining and increasing the value of people's financial assets. Securities enterprisesshould undertake and perform their social responsibilities by their own characteristics.However, there are many problems regarding the performances of social responsibilities ofsecurities enterprises in China. It is found that securities enterprises in China lack the awareness ofcorporate social responsibility. They do not either publish the corporate social responsibility reportsor perform well enough in social responsibility regarding investors, employees, and theenvironment, etc. Hence, it is necessary to do some researches in corporate social responsibility ofsecurities enterprises to find out the problems and their causes, and then suggest specific measuresof improving the performance of social responsibility of securities enterprises.Based on the domestic and foreign researches, this paper analyzes systematically the currentstatus of performing social responsibility of China's securities enterprises and the causes, andproposes the following measures to solve those problems: at the government level, the law relatingto corporate social responsibility should be improved, the government's supervision and guidingshould be enhanced and the assessment system of corporate social responsibility should beestablished; at the corporate level, the awareness of social responsibility for entrepreneurs should beimproved, both the internal and external structure of securities enterprises should be perfected, theawareness of social responsibility should be enhanced, the communication mechanism should bestrengthened and the disclosure system of social responsibility should be improved. More securitiesenterprises will be encouraged to perform social responsibility through the joint efforts ofgovernment and enterprises.With the subject of securities corporate social responsibility and employing scientific analysismethods, the paper attempts to explore the new requirements of performing social responsibility ofChina's securities enterprises in this stage and specific measures to encourage the securities enterprises to perform social responsibility, as well as to provide practical and effectiverecommendations for improving the internal managements of China's securities enterprises.
