Equipment manufacturing industry is one of basic, pillar and strategic industriesin the economy of China, and Coal machinery manufacturing industry is an importantbranch of Equipment manufacturing industry. The government of Shanxi ProvinceAlways pays attention to the development of Equipment manufacturing industry, andthey published <Adjustment and revitalization plan of Equipment manufacturingindustry in Shanxi Province> and some other policy. Shanxi is rich in coal, and thespecial Industrial structure determines that Coal machinery manufacturing industrywill play an important role in the economic development of Shanxi Province. TheCoal machinery manufacturing industry of Shanxi province Have the advantage overmarket, technology and talent. But the overall technical level lags behind that ofdeveloped countries. It is one of the problem need to be solved urgently in Shanxi thatHow to formulate a more effective industry development strategy to promoteindustrial technology and the economic development of Shanxi.Technology roadmap (TRM) is a new innovation management tools. Currently, ithas been widely used in the United States, Japan, Britain and other technologydeveloped countries, and have achieved good results. But there is little research aboutthe theory and application of it in China. THE research about industry Technologyroadmap mainly concentrated in Guangdong Province. This paper research thedevelopment strategy of Shanxi province by draw lessons from the industrytechnology roadmap experience of Guangdong Province, which based on a generalidea of technology roadmap, including market demands, industry aims, technologicalbarriers R&D needs, and TRM drawing. Specifically, the content can be abstracted asfollows.(1)Based on reviewing the theory of technology roadmap and industrytechnology roadmap, this paper analyzes the Development status of Coal machinerymanufacturing industry in Shanxi, and use expert interview, questionnaire survey andsome other methods to find market demands, and then ranked the ten market demandfactors. (2)Based on the analysis of market demands, this paper uses Delphi Method torefine experts' judgment about the Industrial development direction in the future, andthen refine industry aim factors. After that, principal component analysis is employedto analyze the Correlation degree between market demand factors and industry aimfactors. At last, rank all the industry aim factors Combined with industrial aim factorsimportant value sort.(3)This part analyzes the key technical problems and technological barriers ofindustry. Expert interview and questionnaire survey are used to refine key technicalproblems, after reviewing the theory of key technology problems and generictechnology of. Principal component analysis is employed to analyze the Correlationdegree between key technology problems and industry aim factors. At last, rank all thekey technology problems. According to key technology problems, this paper selectsR&D projects, and then analyzes their priority, time node, risk, R&D main body andmodel to technology development.(4)This paper Summarize the Research findings of market demands analysis,industry aims analysis, technological barriers analysis and R&D needs analysis, Anddraw R&D needs roadmap, risk-Profit roadmap about top R&D projects, model totechnology development roadmap and TRM of Coal machinery manufacturingindustry in Shanxi. It further puts forward the general ideas and suggestions onindustrial development, providing reference for the decision making and strategyselecting of the industrial development.
