Urumqi City Migrant Workers Social Security Question Research

Migrant workers are a new type of labor force emerged in the urbanizationprocess in China, they are widely distributed in various sectors of national economy,urban construction, rural development has made important contributions. Farmerswork for the identity of the new industrial workers has not been widely recognized,resulting in their long-term free between urban and rural areas, lack of protection"marginal people", are also excluded from their social security system. For migrantworkers social security issues, China has developed a series of policies and measuresto protect the labor rights of migrant workers and developed areas in the Mainlandhave also done a lot of practice and exploration, and achieved certain results. From arealistic point of view, due to various obstacles, the migrant workers there are stillmany difficulties in terms of income, housing, and their children to school, theirinterests can not be effectively protected.Under the premise of the country is currently no unified policies and models tosolve the problem of the social security of migrant workers, the capital city ofXinjiang Urumqi as the background, how to improve the social security of migrantworkers building, made some hands-on exploration and research. Therefore, Idesigned a small questionnaire entitled "Urumqi, migrant workers social securityproblem", investigation and analysis of the basic status of migrant workers in UrumqiCity. And then were selected as typical cities of the North and South, Shenzhen,Changchun, analysis of the situation of migrant workers social security, a betterunderstanding of the social security issues faced by migrant workers, and find usefulexperience, this study deeper analysis.
