Since the beginning of the21st century, China's logistics industry has developed rapidly. The logistics industry has become an important industry of the national economy and a newgrowth point. With implementation of the country's western development policy, the economyof the west will be accelerated. With the improvement of the economy and the transformationof industrial structure, the logistics industry is bound to rise and the development of logisticswill be incorporated into the development the overall strategy. Compared with developedcountries, China's logistics development is still in its infancy, especially agricultural logistics. In the face of the increasingly prominent "three rural" issues, and China's entry to the WTOand the impact of foreign agricultural situation, the change of the traditional mode ofcirculation of agricultural products is in urgent need. Agricultural products logistics, as "thethird profit source" should be fully exploited. This involves the operational efficiency andoperation quality of the national economy, the modernization of agriculture and th efundamental interests of the farmers'.Over the years, the logistics development in Tibet has fallen behind the transport. Sincethe opening of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway in2006the opportunity for development of modernlogistics has been brought to Tibet. With the initial formation of Tibet as an importantnational base of the plateau agricultural products and construction of agricultural productlogistics system, agricultural products get its opportunities. Logistics needs analysis is animportant part in the regional logistics planning. This article focuses on the qualitative andquantitative analysis of the logistics needs of agricultural products in Tibet. First of all, thedevelopment status of the logistics of agricultural products in Tibet is analyzed from the fouraspects: the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges and this lays the foundationfor the countermeasures proposed for agricultural products logistics development. Second, thelogistics needs of agricultural products are affected by many factors which are analyzed usingqualitative analysis and quantitative methods. Subsequently, the potential demand of Tibet'sagricultural logistics needs is analyzed using qualitative method from the main demand, thestructure of demand, logistics flows and distribution law. Economic factors, which isextracted from the results of qualitative analysis and influencing factors, are as variables andthen the index system of logistics needs of agricultural products is established. Agricultural products logistics principal component regression model, the gray prediction model, neuralnetwork prediction model and combination forecasting model are used to predict the logisticsneeds of agricultural products scale in Tibet over the next eight years. And logistics needs ofagricultural products in Tibet scale shows a growing trend. Finally, on the basis of the abovestudies, some recommendations are put forward to the agricultural development of thelogistics industry in Tibet.
