With the progress of knowledge and skills in industrialization, new generationmigrant workers who were born between1980's and1990's become the main force ofthe secondary and tertiary industry. They are precious strategic resources of 'CityRevolution'. The new generation migrant workers grew in rural in the middle and late1980's and have rural registered permanent residences but work in cities. Include the ones withmedium and high education qualification. Their registered permanent residences are in countrysideafter their graduation from universities, junior colleges and technical secondary schools, but theywork in cities. Hubei, as a large province that is undergoing transformation, if happinessindex of its main force of production decreases constantly, will have rather persistentand adverse impact to its economy and society.This is a research on happiness of the new generation of migrant workers inHubei, and the content is divided into4parts: at the beginning, it introduces thepurpose and significance of researching happiness of the new generation migrantworkers by materials and literatures that consulted, and discussed the research statusand results of the happiness at home and abroad. The second part described the presentsituation of happiness of new generation workers. An interview was done for12labor-intensive industrial and science parks for their happiness, which will be used as abasis for the future research.In the third part, mulling over the actual conditions of newgeneration migrant workers from12labor-intensive industrial and science parks, thewriter analyzed the overall happiness status and seven influential factors of the newgeneration migrant workers. The seven affective factors include: their integration intosociety, salary, social security, working hours, interpersonal relationship, work andliving environment and self-evaluation.In the fourth part, with the research results ofthis thesis and actual working situation of the new generation migrant workers of Hubei,the writer discussed and analyzed the research results from three aspects: enterprise,society and government, and mainly studied how the happiness from work was formed.Finally, advance relative strategies of promoting happiness of the new generation inHubei based on affective factors and formation of their happiness.
