Operating Efficiency Of Industrial Enterprises In Chongqing And Its Influencing Factors Analysis

Technical progress is the basic way to improve enterprise operational efficiency,but given the certain production technology how to use the technology effectively,give full play to the technological potential ability to improve enterprise operationalefficiency is also of very important. Chongqing as a typical industrial city, whilestepping up technical innovation,try to improve the technical efficiency, enhanceindustrial enterprise overall operational efficiency is particularly important for thesustained and rapid development of Chongqing industrial economy in the future.Firstly from three standpoints of ownership, scale and industry this paperanalyzes the industrial structure and economic benefit of Chongqing and has a morecomprehensive understanding of the development status of Chongqing industry. Onthis basis, this paper sample19Chongqing industrial enterprises listed in Shanghaiand Shenzhen, with the aid of data envelopment analysis, evaluates each listedenterprise of static operational efficiency level in2010and the dynamic operationalefficiency changes during2006-2010. The analysis results show that:(1)the overalloperational efficiency level of Chongqing listed industrial enterprises was relativelyhigh, the scale efficiency of the enterprises was obvious, but the pure technicalefficiency which is mainly determined by the internal management level wasrelatively low；(2) during the study period the total factor productivity of Chongqinglisted industrial enterprises showed a downward trend, the main source of which isthe increase of the enterprise technical efficiency, while the enterprise technical levelin the study period declined slightly.Then in order to find out the specific factors which influence the industrialoperational efficiency of Chongqing enterprises, this paper choosing DEA(DataEnvelopment Analysis) technical efficiency of industrial enterprises in Chongqing asexplained variable, choosing company system, strategic, finance, personnel fourfactors as explanatory variables, formulate a Tobit regression model, usingcross-sectional data in2010and makes an empirical analysis. The main conclusionsare as follows:(1) ownership form, ownership concentration of independent directorsthree indexes are not significantly negatively correlated with Chongqing listedindustrial enterprises efficiency;(2) the asset-liability ratio and diversified enterprisestrategic are more significantly negatively correlated with that;(3) while the percentof employees with a college education is significantly positive correlated with that. Finally, on the basis of the analysis results, this paper puts forward fourSuggestions on how to improve the operational efficiency of Chongqing industrialenterprises:(1) the enterprises should actively explore and establish enterprisesystems suitable for its actual situation;(2) strengthen the financial management,establish hard financial constraints;(3) focus on main business management, don'tget involved in unusual field;(4) take attention to enterprise human resourcesdevelopment, establish a learning organization.
