Chinese Enterprises To Invest In Laos Environmental Analysis Of The Industry Choose To Study

This study aims to analyze China's current investment climate and enterprise selection in Lao, PDR. Laos is a China's neighbors in the southwest, so, the two countries are similar in humanities, culture and other environments. Laos has good relation with China and the bilateral trade between China and Laos has also been growing rapidly in recent years.The investment of Chinese enterprises is now booming in ASEAN countries, especially the cooperation in free trade area. The ASEAN countries are interesting in attracting the Chinese enterprises to run business and make investment in various sectors in countries of ASEAN. Lao PDR became a full member of ASEAN in1997, and has been trying to contribute to the socio-economic development. In1986, the policy on promotion of domestic and foreign investment has adopted by Lao government, which aimed at making it more attractive in the eyes of foreigners. Recently, Lao policy on foreign investment has been improved with aimed to offer more competitive advantages and incentives to foreign investors, especially Chinese enterprise. In2009, Laos has decided to adopt a new policy due to the investment from China played a very important role in helping develop Laos in many areas such as society, economy, poverty reduction and etc. China has ranked the second largest investor in Laos. Due to the cooperation in economics and trade between Laos and China have seen a fast growth thanks to friendship and mutual understanding between the Governments of Laos and China has been deeply expanded. Through my study on China enterprise's investment in Laos, it makes me find the recommendation and strategy of investment from China. The first article that was written is about the background, significance and theory. It has collected all theories that related to China's investment in foreign and ASEAN countries.The study will be used the theory of PEST and SWOT to analysis the China's investment environment and enterprise selection in Lao, PDR. And then we study the main factor, reason and strategy of Chinese enterprise's selection to come to invest in Laos. The final article is the outlook conclusion, result and the plans to research in the future.
