The mainly purpose of this article is to enhance the seawater desalination system’sthermal efficiency and product rate. This article put forward a new idea which thecombination of ultrasonic technology and dewvaporation. Ultrasonic atomizationtechnology could be used to enhance heat and mass transfer and increase efficiency ofheat utilization,which can improve economical efficiency of seawater desalinationsystem.The whole experiment simulates the principle of ultrasonic atomization humidifier.Evaporation testing systems is also built. It discussed the microscopic mechanism ofultrasonic atomization:thermal effect of the ultrasonic atomization increased the kineticenergy of the movement water cluster molecules,forced hydrogen bonds fracture,enhanced heat and mass transfer. Ultrasonic and seawater capillary wave are in the samefrequency,there will be a resonance phenomenon. Ultrasonic atomization increased thespeed and acceleration of water molecule on the surface of liquid drops. More watermolecules have enough energy in overcoming the surface tension,so that it willaccelerate the rate of water evaporation and atomization. This mechanism provides anew idea for the development of seawater desalination.The experiment temperature and salinity condition are35~68℃and30~50g/1000gseparately. The experimental date and correlation show that,temperature and salinityinfluence seawater evaporation rate. Ultrasound evaporation speeds up with thetemperature increasing. A negative correlation is found between salinity and evaporationspeeds,the suitable temperature for evaporation of ultrasonic atomization is from50℃ to65℃,but the influence coefficient is so small that the salinity increase from30to50,the ultrasound evaporation rate change nothing. Ultrasonic atomization increased thespeed of water molecule which means ultrasound has prompt liquid drops toovercoming the increasing surface tension with salinity,which provide the basis for theevaporate equipment’s design of the seawater desalination.On the basis of ultrasound assisted seawater evaporation experiment,combiningwith solar devices,and considering the processes of evaporation seawater desalination,a seawater desalination plant and a heat recovery unit are designed. According to thesystem of ultrasound seawater desalination,a physical and a mathematical model aredeveloped to describe the main components of the system,and there is a preliminaryexploration to apply the system to dewvaporation seawater desalination.
