Water conservancy and hydropower projects have a vital bearing on the national economy and the people’s livelihood, if they once encounter geological hazards, such as debris flow, the loss is inestimable. This paper based on KaiDouHeGunHaBuQiLe water conservancy and hydropower project in Xinxiang, we in the dam site area do risk evaluation. Risk evaluation is the foundation of decision making for a disaster assessment and prediction. disaster prevention disaster relief. It reflects not only the brisk rate of debris flow, but also reflects its possible destruction. According to the disaster activities and the forming condition, the cause of the debris flow disaster investigation, statistics, factor analysis, and on the basis of the activities of the debris flow hazards, we can clear the intensity, evaluation of the debris flow ability damage. By investigating the local weather, geological material, doing site test, sampling, laboratory test, calculation, respectively different ditches management measures are proposed, to the following debris flow happened in Water conservancy and hydropower projects for reference basis. We got such results as follows:1. In the dam site area of this project heavy rain happened probability. The heavy rain in certain conditions has the possibility to induce a certain scale debris flow.2. Though the investigation and analysis of the test of analogy, the debris flow of WuLaSiTai ditch, YuShu ditch, TianMen ditch, Yan Wei ditch, XueKong ditch, WanLin ditch and#G1ditch in the dam site all belong to dilute mudslides.3. The debris flow of WuLaSiTai ditch, YuShu ditch and TianMen ditch are medium degree of easy to happen. The risk of the debris flow at WuLaSiTai ditch is medium, others are lower.4. The possibility of the debris flow of YuShu ditch and TianMen ditch to block the KaiDouHe is little, which has little impact to the projects. The debris flow of WuLaSiTai ditch has directly and big effect to the base of dam site; others have no effection to buildings and power facilities in the dam site.
