The Planning Of Biodiversity Conservation In Pan’an County

Since the beginning of the20th century, with the expanding of the scope and extent of our human beings’activities, the environmental problems have attracted a great deal of concerns among the whole world. Accompanied with the deterioration of the earth’s environment, our human societies have had to confront an unexpected series of environmental problems. All these factors are stemming from the unreasonable and excessive exploitation and using of the natural resources. The biodiversity has been severely damaged and destroyedwith the aggravation of the urbanization, the urban bio-resources have been threatened severely, and the conservation of urban biodiversity has been increasingly concerned. Based on the research of advanced theories in biodiversity conservation at home and abroad and referred to the previous cases, the planning of biodiversity conservation in Pan’an county has been carried out. The following are the details:(1) Based on the field surveys in Pan’an County, the main green plants in the city can be divided into the tree layer and shrub layer. The tree layer mainly includes Trachycarpus fortunei, Photinia sermlata Lindl, Ginkgo biloba Linn, Cinnamomum camphom (L.) Presl and so on. The shrub layer mainly includes Lorpetalum chindensevar. rubrum, Rhododendron, Pittosporum tobira, Viburnum odoratissimum, Cycas revoluta and so on. The plant species in the city is more abundant, floristic composition is more complex, the natural ecosystem is obvious, the artificial ecosystem is the theme, but, there is the obvious difference in the diversity space, the spatial pattern is uneven, the urban green composition structure is imperfect, and the spatial distribution is uneven. The main causes are the growth of population, Habitat fragmentation brought about by the process of urbanization, the invasion of alien species and the pollution.(2) The biodiversity conservation has been carried out in the levels of the genetic diversity, the species diversity, the ecosystem diversity and landscape diversity, established the spatial patterns of "bank-corridor-ring-belt-range", drawn the conservation framework map of the central city district, made the distribution of the biodiversity in Pan’an County, initially divided into the old and new districts and drawn the plan.(3) The special protection and construction plan, including the enrichment of garden plants landscape, the protection of old and famous trees, the rare and invaluable plants and current plants landscape, is carried out, meanwhile concrete measures in protecting the biodiversity in Pan’an County are put forward, such as the in-situ and ex-situ conservation, integrated environmental management measures, establishment of urban green space system biodiversity network system to improve biodiversity conservation planningThis research has provided the solid materials and theoretic foundation for Pan’an County’s construction of National Garden City, and also references for the aspect of urban biodiversity conservation.
