This thesis discusses the relationship between the scientific method and the theologicalmethod in the13-15century. In the13th century, with the translation of Aristotle’s books and therise of European universities, the rational spirit was becoming stronger and stronger,and themiddle ages was moving from darkness to a bright future. Based on the history, with therelationship between science and Christian theology of the late Middle Ages as focus, this thesisanalyzes the similarities and differences of the scientific method and the theological methodduring this period, and then come to the conclusion: the similarity between them is that theyboth use logical method and take the same path-deduction; the difference between them is thatthey are two diametrically opposed views of the world, which also caused the difference innature between the two methodologies.Theological method absorbed the scientific method in itsdemonstration of the Christian faith, but the scientific method gradually split away from thetheological method,and gave birth to the mathematics,the basis of modern scientific methods.Hereby this thesis concludes that the relationship of scientific method and theology is mutuallyinteractive and promotive in the13-15th century.
