Mantougou Lead-Zinc Mine area in Taipusiqi county,Inner Mongolia is located in the east of the Xingmeng folded zone of the north margin of the North China Platform, belonging to the polymetallic deposit-concentrated area in central and southern Inner Mongolia which has a huge prospecting vista.Due to the remote mining area, the basic geological researches is insufficient, so the key works are metallotectonic background and prospecting prediction research for mining area.Metamorphic series of Baiyunebo group of Middle Proterozoic Subera is the main strata which contains mainly the Mica quartz schist and Plagioclase amphibole schist. The Jindouzi reversed anticline grows in the study area and the ore field situates in the northern flank. The faults also develop very much in this area which is mainly NE direction. The main intrusive rocks are granitic pegmatite and diorite dikes. The ore body mainly occurs in the trending faults and the ore deposits consist of13ore bodies, the No. I ore body which occurs in F1fault is the main body while the others are small scale. The main useful constituents of the deposit are Pb, Zn and associated Ag.The ore mainly has ldiomorphic-hypidiomorphic granular texture and anhedral crystal texture and the structure is mainly veinlet-disseminated, star disseminated and blocky structure.According to the major elements, trace elements and rear earth elements in the vein, we concludes that the Nb*is far less than l,the value of K*is above1, and the K2O/Na2O+K2O is High in oceanic ridges environment,with the Hf-Th-Ta graphic, Ti-Zr-Y graphic and Zr-Ti illustrations, we studies the metallogenic tectonic background of this field is continental margin environment.Basing on the geological characteristics of deposit and tectonic, we summarizes the ore-forming regularity and prospecting marks for the mining area. Through the study of the structural form, we conclude that the deposit is an echelon type middle-low temperature hydrothermal metallogentic model and circle the metallogenic prediction areas,which has getted to tested by the geophysical survey and mining practice.At last, we success in delineating the perdicted prospective area and provide theory guidance for the further investigation and survey.
