The geological environment of the highway from Shiyan to Tianshui is verycomplicated, and the geological disasters happened frequently. the landslide disasters aremost.The safety of driving and the quality of the traffic were influenced by these disastersseriously.This article relyed on the research of geological hazard and treatment for thehighway from Shiyan to Tianshui in Shanxi broader.Through collecting the details of thelandslides along the highway from Shiyan to Tianshui,and according to the unique charactersof the landslide and theoretical principles,the paper established the evaluation indictors anddivision of these indictors for the landslides along the highway., including slope height,slope,formation lithology, the frequency of disasters, disaster density, populationdensity,engineering activities,annual rainfall, and monthly rainfall.All indicators weredivided into four levels: no danger, less danger,danger and most danger.Then it used theanalytic hierarchy process to get the judgment matrixes, and to calculate the weight of eachindictors.And then it got the assessment model. of landslides along the highway.In thispaper,it selected54landslides which are of all indictors and evaluated all indictors oflandslides, then it got the risk factors of those landslides. Finally, this paper divided the riskfactor into four levels and made overall assessment for the landslides. Ultimately, this paperchoose three landslides of the project which were based on, and evaluated these threelandslides.The result of the evaluation is agree of the result of the pratical monitoring.
