Recent years, with the rapid development of GPS technology, it has been widelyused in high-precision measurement of the gravity and magnetic survey by which hasall-weather, global, high precision, speed and many other advantages. It brought a newtechnological revolution for the future and magnetic exploration measuring. The use of GPS relative positioning method can be easily measured the flatposition and elevation information between any two points on the ground byhigh-precision. Therefore,it is in the broad arena of gravity and magnetic explorationmeasurement. In particular is that the real-time dynamic positioning of RTKtechnology which based on the carrier phase measurements-the is increasinglyperfect. So that it makes many of the original is very tedious field measurement of themagnetic survey control net became very convenient. It has a greatly improving in theefficiency of operating and the accuracy of exploration. This article first briefly set forth the principle of GPS positioning and RTKtechnology and working methods. Secondly, in order to improve the gravity andmagnetic exploration measurement accuracy. This paper dealt with the GPS measureddata using the method of three-dimensional constrained adjustment, heighttransformation, geoid refinement. Finally, in practical projects, we elaborate on theapplication process of the GPS positioning technology, RTK technology in the gravityand magnetic measurements, and specific measures to improve the accuracy of thesetwo measurement methods. By the interpretation results of the gravity and magneticsurvey data, in order to improve the accuracy,we analyzed the effect of GPStechnology in actual gravity and magnetic exploration and provide a reference for thefuture gravity and magnetic exploration measurement.
