By means of the3D visualized modeling for landslide it is able to display thegeological structure and tectonics within landslide intuitively and comprehensively,which provides a digital tool for landslide research, and opens up a new viewpoint forlandslide research, and improves the level of landslide prevention greatly, so it issignificant to the study on landslide.This paper relies on the branch project "Development of the Monitoring and WarningSystem for Single Landslide and Debris Flow" of the major national science andtechnology specific project "Development and Application of the Geological DisasterMonitoring and Warning Sensor Network", taking3D geological modeling method asthe core to develop the3D Modeling and Visualization System for Single Landslidebased on interactive data language IDL independently, and the results achieved are asfollows:(1) The system has a friendly human-machine interactive interface and efficientfunction module design, adopting the voxel and GTP as the3D spatial data model, itis used to realize3D modeling and visualization of the single landslide, and it canachieve interactive manipulations to the generated landslide model through which wecan conjecture the unknown geological information within landslide effectively, suchas rotating, scaling, translating, section displaying, profile displaying,3D capturing,contour drawing, and so on.(2) In addition to single landslide, the system can also be used for modeling andvisualization of stratum, coal and other natural geological phenomena. The system canachieve the simulation of geological tectonics such as conformable contact stratum,vertical fold and inclined fold(single-valued surface), tailing-out, accordantunconformity, lenticle, etc. Through the professional application model interface ofthe system, the generated geological model can be imported into the numericalsimulation software FLAC3Dto analyse and calculate.(3) The system is tested and verified by modeling the Shiping-Honglongchanghighway landslide, and it proves that this system has a certain practical value.
