The parts with face tooth are essential connecting parts to transmit power andmovement in the industrial field. For now, they are mainly produced in traditionalmachining processes with low availability of materials and low productivity. Thetechnology of precision plastic bulk forming aiming at Net Forming or Near Net Formingused for manufacturing parts with face tooth is adapt to the trend of the advancedmanufacture technique with the advantages of high efficiency, precision and no-pollution.In the future, the technology will be one of the main methods for manufacturing the partswith face tooth.Studying based on the spiral adjustment sleeve, the forming technology of warmextrusion is established in allusion to the technological features of parts with tiny facetooth and the requirements of precision plastic bulk forming technology. The dissertationidentifies not only the billets dimension and mechanical parameters in the forming, butalso the moulds of warm extrusion by the software of Pro/E and AutoCAD.The dissertation makes the numerical simulation for the forming processing of thespiral adjustment sleeve by FEM software Deform. The change trend and distribution ofmechanical parameters are analyzed in the forming of the spiral adjustment sleeve and inthe meantime, the situation of filling is presented too. Some influence factors for load arediscussed including different temperature, different material and different tooth height ofmould etc. The equivalent stress distribution and the wear situation of mould are alsoresearched in the forming beyond that the operating life of mould is simply predicted.The physical simulation and the actual component forming experiment are carried outindividually using experiment mould on the basis of numerical simulation, and thenmechanical parameters in the actual forming are got. The feasibility of the warm formingtechnology is proved by the consequences of the simulations and experiments.
