Spiral bevel gear due to the low noise,high carrying capacity,is increasingly being used in automotive,machine tool industry.Face hobbing and face milling are the mainly methods of the gear manufacturing.Face milling method is mainly applied in the manufacturing process of spiral bevel gear and adopt intermittent cent tooth means.Face hobbing method is mainly applied in the manufacturing process of cycloidal spiral bevel gear and adopt continuous cent tooth means.Spiral bevel gear face hobbing is quite difficult in design and manufacture.Although this technology has been more mature abroad.Because the monopoly of Klingelnberg-Oerlikon and the Gleason Corp,and a little technical data into the domestic,it makes our country still lags behind abroad in the face hobbing processing technology.So far,we have not yet been manufactured the spiral bevel gear face hobbing machine whice for the production and have high reliability.Therefore,it is very important that master the basic theory of the gear face hobbing method,and in-depth research of the gear cutting molding method and design process.It can provide some theoretical basis for our country to adopt face hobbing to manufacture spiral bevel gear.According to the gear meshing theory and the method of design and manufacturing of spiral bevel gear,the theoretical method of geometric parameters calculation,machine tool adjustment parameters calculation and tooth contact analysis are researched.The mathematical model and motion model of relationship for cutter,cradle and gear blank are built under the basic machine model.Machine tool adjustment parameters of spiroflex and spirac are solved.Through the mathematical model above,the generating gear for machining is deduced and the theory tooth surface equation of cycloid bevel gear is acquired.According to the method of tooth contact analysis for face milling,the parameters of instant contact oral and zone is calculated.In this paper,realize the control of the tooth shape of the tooth surface and the theory of tooth surface contact features in transmission process is draw and simulated in three-dimensional software.Using theoretical derivation results in this paper,the face hobbing machining program is completed.The geometric design,machine tool adjustment parameters and tooth contact analysis are finished.Through the simulation of the entire process of gear cutting in numerical control software and machining experiment,,the correctness of the theoretical research is verified.
