High speed railway had become the world’s most important means of transportation,with the rapid development of economy, the railway traffic develops to high-speed andheavy-load direction. But the size precision, mechanical performance, strength of railbecame obstacle, and restricted the high-speed of China railway process. Therefore, howto improve the quality and service life of the rails, became to the goal of manufacturers.Based on universal rolling of the universal pass system, the paper researches the verticalroll deviation and diameter of the rail rolling.Firstly, the paper introduces the history and development of rail progress in detail,summarizes the production of rail,based on this analyses their advantages anddisadvantages comprehensively. The modern rails of production technology and rollingprocess is the key introduced object. At the the same time to domestic and internationalscholars about the research of the theory of rolling rail are introduced in this paper.Secondly, it elaborates rigid-plastic finite element method, and meanwhile makes abrief recommend about the DEFORM-3D finite element analysis software in managingand frictional problem etc. Because of the large deformation and high temperatureenvironment of the rolling process , the elastic deformationcan be ignored.Thirdly, establish analysis model of rigid-plastic finite element, determine theimportant parameters and rolling schedulein rolling process, which ultimately universalrolling process for the preparation of numerical simulation.Finally through the simulation of the rolling vertical roll deviation and diameter, toanalyze the press direction of level roller and vertical roll of rolling force, examination ofthe lateral unit rolling force distribution and deformation area of rolled piece of equivalentstress distribution. And with universal rough rolling process simulation analysis, drawsome valuable conclusions, and guide the practical production. These have certainreference value for exploiting new steel of steel rail, arranging producing processrationally, improving quality and operating life of steel rail.
