In recent years, the railway speed increase of the dimension precision of the rail is required higher and higher, which of China's production of heavy rail to the newer and higher requirements. Development of simulation system of universal rolling for heavy rail can provide a good working platform of process adjustment and process control simulation, to provide the theoretical and practical guidance basis for stability of process operation and process control.This paper takes hectometer heavy rail universal rolling line as the research object, combining with the actual production of heavy rail, carries on the development of simulation system of universal rolling for heavy rail. The temperature variation of heavy rail rolling process is mainly studied, and mathematical models which contain temperature drop caused by thermal radiation on the roller table, temperature drop caused by forced convection through high pressure water descaling unit, and temperature rise generated by in the pass of the rolling deformation from the heating furnace outlet to the cap-shaped groove outlet are established; In accordance with characteristics of rolling cross-section, mathematical models which contain temperature drop caused by thermal radiation on the roller table, temperature rise generated by in the pass of the rolling deformation of rail head, rail web and rail base from the rail-shaped groove inlet to the finished product -shaped groove outlet are established, too. Simulation system of universal rolling for heavy rail with Visual Basic 6.0 software is used to simulate and analyze pieces deformation and temperature changes in rolling process;In view of cross-sectional complexity, using non-linear finite element software MARC to simulate and analyze temperature field of heavy rail in the process of universal rolling.Studies show that the predictive value can agree well with the measured value. The temperature change of heavy rail in the whole rolling process and temperature field in the universal rolling process are studied by numerical simulation, which can provide an effective basis for actual production process control and regulation, thus for making the optimized rolling process lay a foundation for.
