With the technology of comprehensive mechanized coal mining is widely used, geological structure requirements are more stringent in recent years. Therefore, to make anaccurate evaluation of the mine geological structure, and to make a precise prediction of thecomplexity of the geological structure of the no mining area have great significance to selectan suitable area of comprehensive mechanized, and to the efficient and safe production of thecoal mine.Based on analyzing the geological structure of Cheng He coal mine area, this paperfocuses on the characteristics and development regularity of the distribution the geologicalformations of the Cheng-He-Second coal mine. Not only large and medium-sized structure isdeveloped (including four normal faults and five folds), but also small structures are moredeveloped in Cheng-He-Second coal mine. Small folds are staple oval-shaped minor axis, their amplitude are staple small, most of them are10m below, their axial direction distributingregularity are not so obvious; small faults are normal faults, their falls are the majority of lessthan5m. Strikes of the fault are NW and NWW up, the combination types are horst, graben, stepladder. To development characteristics of single fault, there are high angle, low angle, topoff-bottom constantly and bottom off-top constantly or other types of faults.Based of the theoretical analysis, selecting5quantitative evaluation indexes: faultdensity, fault strength, flat-fold strength, strike of the fault impact index, constructed loss areacoefficient. Dividing the mined area into175units and to evaluate these units via the methodof BP neural network improvements—additional momentum method, the evaluation resultsmatch with the actual exposed; selecting3indexes of the exploration stage: the thickness ofK4marker bed, folds complexity index, coal floor contour coefficient of variation, combination with the aforementioned five quantitative indicators, obtained the functionalrelationship between them through grey system theory, to predict the27non-mining areasunits, then evaluating the prediction results, the result is:10units of grade Ⅰ (simple structure area),7units of grade II (construct medium area),8units of grade III(complexstructures areas).
