The spindle is the component which is used most often on the of cotton picker, theprevious production spindle parts uses mechanical processing method, This method hasthe advantages in high workpiece precision, but its production efficiency is low. Thispaper adopts the warm extrusion process for forming straight tooth bevel gear which is onthe tail of the spindle, this method not only improves the material utilization rate and theproduction efficiency, but also improve the properties of materials, prolonging the servicelife of the spindle.Based on the rigid-plastic finite element method this thesis establish the straightbevel gear in warm extrusion forming finite element analysis model, after comparebetween the finite element calculation model and experimental model, confirm thereasonable process parameters. Analyse the warm extrusion process of straight bevel gearby using thermal coupling model, the forming regularity of blank with different lengthsand shapes was obtained, the pre-upsetting blank has a better workpiece effect.In order to get a further research of the forming regularity, numerical simulation werecarried out about the pre-upsetting blanks with different diameters, though contrastiveanalysis the result and take the load-stroke curve into account, the blank filling effectbecomes better as its diameter increases form 13mm to 18mm, when pre-upsetting blankdiameter is over 18mm, blank filling effect becomes worse, the best forming effect is18mm diameter.A set of reasonable molds and heating equipment were designed according to theresults of numerical simulation. The temperature extrusion process forming experimentsof straight bevel gear had been carried out using Q235 and GCr15. Through adjust theblank’s length and shape constantly, finally obtained the workpiece with expected size andshape accuracy, at the same time, the accuracy of simulation and the feasibility ofexperimental programs have been tested also.This thesis has put forward creative techniques and die designing methods with hightechnology advancement and innovation, this research has high theoretical significance and applications prospects.
