The3D-network metal matrix composites were got the attention of the domesticand foreign researchers and the rapider development. In the3D-network metal matrixcomposites, the matrix and the reinforced were network topology. The structure avoidedthe tissue uneven distribution and anisotropic through the conventional particulate andwhisker. At the same time,it had every phase could be the full of the performance. Asthe result, these kinds of composites were hard to fall off, which improved the wearresistance of the composites. The3D-network metal matrix composites could be usedwidely.The3D-nickel reinforced aluminum base composites were brought throughvacuum suction casting and were investigated by M-2000friction wear testing machine. This paper had the system analysis on the dry friction and wear properties through thedifferent speed, load, wear time and porosity. This paper analysised the microstructure, the wear surface and the subsurface morphology of3D-nickel reinforced aluminummatrix composites, explored the wear mechanism, and establish the wear model by1st0pt. It showed that the resistance of3D-nickel reinforced aluminum matrixcomposites was much better than the matrixs, especially through the increaming of load, speed, time and the reduction of the porosity. The wear mechanism of the matrixs wasadhesive wear. The wear mechanism of3D-nickel reinforced aluminum matrixcomposites was acted as the adhesive wear and the abrasive wear.At the same time, itsresistance was better through the increasing of the prosity. And also, the resotamce wasbetter through the Insulation temperature. One of the reasons of the enhanced wearresistance was that the hard convex body formed on the wear surfaces of the3D-nickel reinforced aluminum matrix composites, and it made the bearing action.Another reason was the3D-nickel and the matrixs were a whole, and the3D-nickelnethad the load dispersed to various directions of the composites, which leaded the stresshard to be centralized, reducing the adhesion wear. With the the wear process, high localstress on the friction surface made the reinforced body fallen, which increased thecontact area of the dual member, then the actions of adhesive wear were increasing.Dislodged particles were surface uniform distribution, and abrasive wear played animportant role. This paper established the wear model through1st0pt, predictive value and the actual measured value fitted well.
