The structural fatigue resistance and the reliability of aircraft are directly affectedby the quality of assembly connection in the aircraft’s manufacturing process. Atpresent, automatic riveting technology is widely used in riveting of large aircraft wingpanels, fuselage panels and wing rib. It is one of the world’s advanced technology ofmechanical connection, which has changed the traditional riveting technology,reduces the assembly cycling time and the cost of riveting. It even helps greatly inimproving the quality and the seal of the riveting. As the aircraft structure usethin-walled structures more often, the assembly and connection of forced forcegenerated can easily lead to residual stress and deformation assembly assembly errorin the assembly process, which will bring a serious threat to the product accurateassembly and the assembly life.Thesis has investigated the current riveting technology developments both in thedomestic and abroad; analyzed automatic drilling/riveting system, and thetechnological process of automatic drilling/riveting. The reasons for assembly ofriveting process is emphatically analyzed, and study the computational method ofrivet displacement, stress and strain, pressure, etc. about deformation during theriveting process. The rivet and the riveted joint distortion situation of the riveted jointprocess are carried on the finite element analysis by used ANSYS10.0software.According to analysis of the finite element analysis software, it has obtained in theriveted joint distortion process rivet and riveting pieces in the specific deformationsituation. The stress strain distributed situation of after having obtained the rivet andriveted joint pressure riveting. At last used the software analysis computation toobtain the2A10diameter is the precise pressure riveting strength which the5mmaluminum alloy rivet distorted is23148N. With the testing standards of aviationindustry, the measuring instrument is researched and designed. The measuringapparatus is divided into three parts, the frame of the ruler, and the body of the ruler,height and depth gauge. Each part is carried on the concrete design. Thethree-dimensional model of parts is established by PRO/E software, andassembly ofthe parts. The measurement system software is compiled by VB6.0language and soon.The main work of this thesis focused on four parts: such as the analysis ofdeformation riveting, the riveting deformation of the finite element simulation, thedesign measuring instrument, the development measurement system software and soon.And the analysis, the computation and the simulation of the riveting are help toimprove the quality of riveting; the measuring instruments and the measurementsystem of design are value to the distortion survey and the control of deformation.
