| China’s tower crane industry was begun in the1950s, and a relatively complete system wasformed and developed. As one of the key equipment in construction industry,tower crane has alsobecome one of the fastest growing industry in machinery industry. China’s tower crane has nowentered the international market, and China has become the world’s largest producer of tower crane,and aslo the world’s major demand of tower crane. Broad market demand gives the strong vitality oftower cranes, but it led to shortage of market supply, how to improve the production efficiency oftower cranes has become an important topic.This paper focuses on the establishment of a geometry model of rotary drive mechanism in thetower crane’s up and bottom slewing bearings. And based on the structural characteristics of rotarybearings, a reasonable analysis of the assembly process is conducted. The welding deformation ofeach weld is predicted, using empirical formula of welding deformation. Rotary welding toolingtemplates is designed and drawn to reduce the welding deformation of the workpiece and theconsumption of assemble hours, and improve the productivity of the entire tower crane.The machine tools used in rotary bearing machining is transformed into CNC type, and aappropriate coordinate measurement system is installed, in order to achieve human-computerinteraction, to improve the accuracy of rotary bearing machining and processing efficiency, which isalso extremely important in the tower crane’s productivity. |
