Being the underground channel of ventilation, pedestrian, material transporting, coal seam roadway is also one of the places where occur coal spontaneous combustion underground. Currently, domestic and foreign scholars did a lot of research on the numerical simulation of spontaneous combustion process of coal roadway, but there still exists a gap between the research and site reality, mathematic model for describing coal spontaneous combustion process in various environment and conditions have not been perfect, and more of the simulations on coal spontaneous combustion process of existing model were2D, key parameters were selected using theory calculation or experience formula, the difference between simulation calculation results and reality was significant.In this article, one of working faces in2#coal seam in Zaoquan coal mine of Ningxia Hui autonomous region was taken as example; methids of experiment, field observation and numerical simulation were combined to study the loose coal spontaneous combustion in roadway. Firstly, through the large-scale experiment of coal spontaneous combustion and programmed temperature experiment, coal spontaneous combustion character parameters such as oxygen consumption velocity, heat liberation intensity and particle size influence function of coal sample were tested, extrapolated limit parameters of loose coal spontaneous combustion in roadway, providing the underlying data for numerical simulation of loose coal spontaneous combustion process in roadway; Secondly, building out3D mathematical model of the loose coal spontaneous combustion in roadway, and gives the mathematical model of key parameters and boundary conditions; then according to reality and experimental results, divided the loose coal spontaneous combustion dangerous zone in roadway, established a division of3D physical model and meshed, and simulated loose coal spontaneous combustion process in roadway by FLUENT software. Through comparison of measured data, numerical simulation results basically tallies with site reality, verified the effectiveness of the model of loose coal spontaneous combustion in roadway. The model has a certain reference significance to similar condition mine.
