In introduction part, it illustrates that there are plenty of coal mines in China, butproblems exist in gas extraction. It describes the development of gas extraction anddrill machine at home and abroad(technologies, manufacturers, product types, etc.),and makes a summary of the design methods.In the second chapter, it depicts the designing principle of gas extraction and drillmachine. The traditional designing method comes from long-accumulated experience.The reliability comes from the data in engineering database. The finite elementmethod separates the continuum into finite element structure. The optimal designimproves the indicators of drill machine. The module design helps to standardize andserialize. System design makes the different parts of drill machine into a whole. Fuzzydesign is able to analyze the fuzzy process in its design. Ergonomics design offerscomfort when operating the machine and improves productivity. Green design isfriendly to the environment. Reverse engineering can make full use of the currenttechnology and reverse the advanced machine.In the third chapter, it explains the design of extraction and drill machine.Pneumatic motor is used for its safety, wide working scope, simple maintenance, andcheap price. The air in-out parts are equipped with silencer to lessen noise, and tomake the workers comfortable. In general, pillar drilling structure is adopted whichcontains six parts(rotary assembly, running assembly, beacon assembly, drill roddirectional support, supporting framework, drill bush). Each part is of highindependence that makes the machine could be easily disconnected and moved. Thedrilling-in part selects high efficient auger stem and hard alloy bit that offer a highrotating speed, great torque and safe operation when working. The parameters of gasextraction and drill machine are fixed with reference to rotating speed, torque value,and running process, etc. After that, each part is carefully designed, and thentwo-dimensional graph paper and three-dimensional model are drawn. At last, eachpart is assembled together to check its stability and accuracy.In chapter four, this paper offers a finite element analysis on its key parts, tomake sure its reliability and safety when working. The finite element analysis is madeup of five steps:Introducing finite element analysis software after modelingAnalyzing the force element of each part when working, to see what kind ofbinding should be adopted. Exerting relevant binding and force, that is, to set up solving parametersProcessing each part with mash partition.Solution and conclusion.The parts that be analyzed: supporting base, beam, gear, gear shaft, etc. Afteranalyzing, their maximum stress is less than demand stress, with little deform andthey are of safety, too.Chapter five is the conclusion that extraction and drill machine is of reasonablestructure, with a high reliability and is sufficient to meet our need in mining.
