Oasis is a special ecological landscape in the droughty desert. Because of the unique geographical location, geology, topography and hydrological conditions in the drought environment, oasis, that is very important to the development of local people’s agriculture, animal husbandry and industry, can directly have impact on the local people’survival and development. In order to make people thoroughly kown the oasis-desert ecological system dynamic development mechanism and the driving factors of dynamic development process, make the oasis not only developed sustainably but also satisfy material resources demand of people in the arid areas, this paper made these research as follows:Take Minqin oasis as an example, the author studies the oasis-desert dynamic conversion process, namely taking vegetation and wind erosion as qualitative characterization in the processes of oasis or desertification development. Taking into consideration of the mutual coupling effect between vegetation coverage and wind erosion ratio, and the external force, especially the influence of human activities, a dynamics model is set up in this paper. The model is applied to simulate the development processes of vegetation coverage and aeolation ratio in the Minqin oasis, to find that the calculated values agree well with the actual values. Analyze and predict the vegetation-wind erosion development thought the model. The results indicate that afforestation and other measures to increase vegetation are effective to control aeolation development although the effect is relatively slow, which need persistent efforts to put into.In order to make the Minqin oasis ecological system sustainably develop, we need to explore the oasis and desert dynamic transformation mechanism, that is, in a certain natural environment and human activity background conditions, which are the driving factors and what are their common functions, which is the main influence factors, which are secondary factors. Apply the grey correlation analysis method to Minqin oasis-desert dynamic transformation process to quantitatively analyze the driving factors such as rainfall, evaporation, groundwater depth, groundwater salinity, population, agricultural acreage, etc. The grey analysis results indicate that the, especially the population and cultivated land area, have a higher correlation degree than the natural driving forces such as rainfall, temperature, so that the human driving forces become the main drivers in Minqin oasis-desert evolution.
