Hydraulic powered support is the guarantee of safety and high officiency in the Fully Mechanized Coal Faces. In the hydraulic powered support’s outgoing inspection and type test hydraulic powered support test rig is a key equipment which tests its sealing, strength, life and the opening pressure of safety valve. Because of simulating the underground pressure environment and cyclic loading is repeated during the testing process, test rig is required highly to the overall structure of performance and service life.20MN hydraulic support test bed researched in this project is designed on the basis of12MN hydraulic support test rig. so it is necessary to check the structural strength and fatigue life. In general, the mathematical models created by the traditional strength checking method are simplified too much, and therefore, the calculation results have larger deviations. In addition, the long manufacturing cycle of prototype testing cost much manpower and resources. In this paper the analysis on the overall structure of performance and fatigue life over the hydraulic powered support test rig has been done in finite element method with the help of computer technology which is widely used in the engineering practice of home and abroad.First, the CAD model of the hydraulic support test rig created by the three-dimensional software Pro-E was imported in the Ilypermesh and MSC.Patran Software to obtain the finite element model with necessary pre-process, and then called the MSC.Nastran to calculate the stress response in linear static mode under the three worst cases which are the eccentric loading canopy.the torsional loading canopy and the horizontal loading. After analyzing results and materials strength checking, it was found that some materials used in the local position of test rig were low in strength. so it is recommended to replace those with the more higher strength material.The research on fatigue life of the hydraulic powered support lest rig were done in the MSC.Fatigue with the total life analysis. First do the free modal analysis on the finite element model of the test rig with the Nastran, and result file was imported in MSC.fatigue as the model of the basic geometric and stress, modal neutral file was for the MSC.Adams/Flex flexible analysis to output the modal displacement. Based on modal stress recovery theory, in the msc.fatigue the modal displacement w’as took as the fatigue load spectrum, and then set the corresponding material S-N curve, calculated and obtained the results, the overall fatigue life and damage accumulation of information of the hydraulic support test rig. that was handled as the necessary theoretical data for the hydraulic support test rig’s pre-design. The fatigue analysis methods used in this paper is an exploration and research in the field of hydraulic powered support test risi for the first time, which can be referenced to some extent in enaineerinu.
