The LNG market of the world develops rapidly at present, and the use of LNG is in increasing in our country. But recently, the technology of LNG receiving terminals in our country mainly comes from the abroad. The receiving terminal having been built and under construction are still the land terminals.LNG-FSRU is a kind of LNG receiving terminal forms on the sea, Nowadays, it is the most widely used sea receiving terminal form in the engineering project as it has many advantages. The Regas module is the key function module to the LNG-FSRU, which heats the liquid LNG with low temperature gasified into high temperature NG, and sends it to the user.During the practice in Nantong Sinopacific Offshore&Engineering CO.,LTD., the author participated in the LNG-FSRU Regas module project. The calculation, analysis and optimization of the main structure of the LNG-FSRU regas module is preesnted in this dissertation, which provides the experiences for the LNG-FSRU design in our country. The main contents of this dissertation are as follows:At first, the LNG market consumption in the world and China are analysized. The characteristics, connotation and strategic role of the natural gas and the LNG industry and marine engineering equipment of the industrial are summarized. The recognition and strong development our country giving to the LNG industry and Marine engineering equipment industry, and the important significance to the economy of our country are highlighted.Because the structure, the gasification pipe arrangement, the equipment of LNG-FSRU Regas module are built with the high strength steel and stainless steel (austenitic), the engineering application of high strength steel and stainless steel (austenitic) is studied and the corresponding solutions to their engineering problems are given.According to the corresponding rules, the structure strength of the main structure of the LNG-FSRU Regas module are analized using SACS finite element analysis software. The local structures, which being not satisfied with the requirements, are adjusted and made to conform the standard.Because the strength margin of some local structures of the LNG-FSRU Regas module is comparatively large, and the weight of the module is beyond the owner’s requirements, the optimization and adjustment to the main structure are studied, to lighten its weight under the premise of the rules. The optimization and adjustment to the main structure can be done by finite element analysis software. And the study shows that, it could provide experience about design and construction of the LNG-FSRU main structure for our country, with the significative value of engineering application.
