As the key functional component for CNC lathe and milling composite machine center, the power tool rest is tested to enable CNC lathe and car milling composite machine center realize the functions such as tool reserve, automatic exchange, clamping tool to cut, etc. Recently, the main directions for CNC lathe are high-speed, high-precision, high-efficiency and complex. By the same token, it is also necessary for the power tool rest to develop toward high-speed, high-precision and modularization. In detail, it is mainly oriented to improve the indexing accuracy, movement speed, location accuracy and rotational speed of the power tool. In addition, there are expanding dynamic control study on its stability and reliability. Naturally, the precise detection device and perfect test platform are the prerequisites for further study on product performance and the prerequisites to guarantee product quality. Presently, the foreign experiment for the tool rest performance detection can only detect the tool changing speed, inertness, unbalance torque, bearing torque, etc. But unfortunately, the skills that foreign countries held are covert to our country. Even worse, there is still no relevant study on the comprehensive performance detection of the tool rest at home. Given all of that, this thesis contributes to the study and development on the comprehensive performance detection of the dynamic tool rest.In detail, this thesis introduces the source, background and significance of this study, analyzes the general development situation of the NC power tool and further discusses the current research situation of the tool rest performance detection. It starts from the working principle and movement characteristics of the power tool rest, and goes on with the requirements analysis of the system of the tool rest comprehensive performance detection. In accordance with the requirements, it is necessary to insure the system temperature, vibration of the cutter in the process of tool changing, vibration of the tool box, noise, displacement precision of Y-axis and location precision of tool changing, etc. Besides, this experiment completed the hardware and software design for the detection system of comprehensive performance of the power tool rest, constructed hardware system of comprehensive performance of the power tool rest, and accomplished the model selection for the sensor and data acquisition card which is used by the detection system. Based on the hardware platform, this experiment achieved the overall design of the principal computer software on the detection system and the structural design of the program on each branching system. Aside from these, this thesis expounded the data acquisition principle and A/D exchange process of each branching system. Meanwhile, it elaborately discussed the setting, call, relevant dynamic linkbases function and serial data acquisition realization of the data acquisition card during data collection. On the part of the PC, this experiment achieved the storage, playback, time domain wavecurve drawing and frequency analysis of the sampled signal.Finally, in order to verify the design feasibility and operating reliability of the comprehensive performance detection system of the power tool rest, it is essential to detect the temperature detection branching system, cutter vibration detection branching system, tool rest box vibration detection branching system, noise detection branching system, Y-axis displacement location precision detection branching system, and indexing accuracy detection branching system, thus testified the performance of such new system. In line with the detection results, this thesis further argued the reasons that influencing the tool rest performance and put forward improvement approaches which are full of significance. Generally speaking, this thesis based on real experiment bears some engineering practical significance and theoretical referenced value to testify and enhance the dynamic tool rest products performance.
