Open pit is generally a large-scale open-air production system which depends on excavation and transport. The open-pit production is a process that strips ores off rocks and carries out transport. The transport of ores plays a crucial role in mine production, which has an obvious impact on reducing costs of mine production and improving production efficiency. Mine enterprises should focus on solving the problem that how to carry out reasonable and optimal transportation equipment dispatching. In order to ensure rationality and optimization of the production in open pit enterprises, optimization dispatching of the trucks and shovels plays a crucial role in the open-pit production operations. Along with the development of Computer science, communications and network technology, open-pit trucks computer dispatching system driven by the demand of mine production develops gradually. As an important part of dispatching system, the database provides data support for the entire dispatching system. Whether database design is reasonable or not determines if the entire open-pit trucks dispatching system can meet the requirements of mining production.This thesis carries out related research about the database of open-pit trucks computer dispatching system, Based on deeply analyzing the development and application of domestic and international open-pit trucks dispatching system, the main research content is summarized. It is of theoretical significance and practical value to carry out this research project. Against the characteristics of actual open-pit production, requirements analysis of truck dispatching system have been conducted in accordance with the software engineering theory, the overall design and functional structure design of system have been completed. The principles and ideas of database design are discussed, and the characteristics of actual open-pit production data are studied, which provide a favorable basis for the database design, Respectively, the conceptual and logical structure design of the database are completed, and physical design and implementation of the database are carried out, the database gets optimized, according to Disaster recovery strategy, the database backup is accomplished.Tested by the actual production data, the database could provide a stable data support for open-pit trucks computer dispatching system, and system reliability is improved.
