Rapier is useful in our daily life. A variety of clothing, fabric is woven by the rapier. But rapier weft insertion tool rapier head tend to fail. The blade material of rapier head in this study is the 7A04 super-hard alloy. Improving the life of the rapier head can bring greater efficiency to the weaving business. By analyzing the failure of the surface of the rapier head wear. combined with the failure mechanism, find our the failure cause. Then improve the surface wear resistance of rapier head by renew the heat treatment process.Experimentally explore the subsequent heat treatment process of the super-hard alloy with chemical nickel plating,. Due to the conflicts of the heat treatment process between the super-hard aluminum alloy and the chemical nickel plating, we design several groups of experimental exploratory study. considering the matrix hardness of super-hard aluminum, chemical nickel coating hardness and the interface between the coating and substrate. In order to achieve the best of the three can, we re-exploring a new heat treatment process.In this paper, use the conventional hardening treatment of Ni-P coating to study 7A04 super-hard alloy tentatively. found that the hardness of the 7A04 super-hard aluminum alloy substantially decreased. However, the conventional solution temperature of 7A04 superhard aluminum alloy can help plated Ni-P coating transform from amorphous to crystalline with short time heat treatment, the hardness increases. The conventional aging temperature 140℃heat treatment has no significantly effect on the Ni-P coating after the crystallization.Conventional solution heat treat 7A04 super-hard alloy plated chemical nickel with485℃x10min, found the middle of the inter diffusion layer between the substrate and the coating. This layer can improve the integration between the coating and the substrate. The new heat treatment 485℃x10min+140℃x16h can improve the hardness of 7A04 super-hard alloy and Ni-P coating, also can further improve the binding force between the coating and the substrate.
