Through the conversion of cropland to forest and ecological restoration measures in loess area, the vegetation restoration and reconstruction has entered a new period, the characteristic of vegetation change.Understanding of the area of vegetation community characteristics, analysis the characteristic of vegetation and soil characteristics of different relations, resuming the ecological benefit, the evaluation of artificial vegetation restoration and natural vegetation recovery method the advantages and disadvantages of the efficient construction of soil and water conservation vegetation has important significance.This studyadopts the method of vegetation community ecology investigation.Determination of forest plots soil physical properties, soil chemical properties and soil resistance to erosion, field runoff sediment runoff observations, conclusions are as follows:(1) to the vegetation community with sea buckthorn Hippophae rhamnoides+community, community, Robinia pseudoacacia community, community, herb community; forest main natural herbs have hair, as Lianhao Leymus, call in, North China, tarragon Artemisia L. rice, mugwort; different vegetation biomass from big to small order:black locust, seabuckthorn, Pinus tabulaeformis+Hippophae rhamnoides,; of different vegetation under the forest natural herb community biomass from big to small is:herbs, seabuckthorn, Robinia pseudoacacia, Pinus tabulaeformis+Hippophae rhamnoides, Pinus tabulaeformis community:different vegetation of forest litter biomass from big to small order is:seabuckthorn, locust, Pinus tabulaeformis+Hippophae rhamnoides, grass, pine.(2) the soil porosity variation between each layer of smaller size, soil bulk density has certain regularity, the general trend is that along with the increase of soil depth, soil bulk density increases with the moisture content, varied regularly.Soil composition mainly with coarse powder mainly.Soil organic matter content with soil depth increase and decrease the content of total nitrogen, total phosphorus content between0.05%-0.63%, between0.05%-0.75%, the total potassium content between1.59%-1.91%, along with the increase of soil depth soil available nitrogen phosphorus potassium content showed a decrease tendency.(3) in the experimental area of rainfall runoff and sediment yield comparison.Vegetation types in different woodland, steep slope and the cell surface runoff is high; with the increase of rainfall intensity, woodland runoff increases.Sediment yield from small to large order is:pure Seabuckthorn Hippophae, mixed forest of Pinus, to call in Lespedeza+Leymus, Pinus tabulaeformis forest. Vegetation types are the same but the slope of different slope land, large amounts of sediment in.Carry out retreat return n cultivated land forest since, as the vegetation recovery and soil structure improved, effectively controlling soil and water loss.Therefore, retreat return n cultivated land forest measures have good ecological benefit.
