Research On The Coordinated Development Of Ecology-Economy-Society In Different Regions Of The Loess Plateau

Over the past 20 years,the implementation of the various ecological restoration projects on the Loess Plateau significantly improved the local ecological environment and promoted the social-economic development,however,the feed-back between the ecological restoration and social-economic benefits remained poorly understood,especially about the information for the coordinated development of ecology-economy-society considering the farmers as a separate economic unit Based on the natural conditions and regional differentiation of socio-economic development of four regions on the Loess Plateau,we evaluated the feedback between ecological restoration and social-economic development of four loess regions and investigated the coordinated development between agricultural ecological environment and agricultural economy coupling system in Yan river watershed using the statistical data of ecological environment and social economy from to 1996 to 2016 and survey data.The four regions include high tableland region(Changwu,Shaanxi),hilly-gully region(Ansai,Shaanxi),wide beam gentle slope hilly-gully region(Guyuan,Ningxia),and residual tableland region(Ji county,Shanxi).We hope to explore the policy directions for the coordinated development of social economy and ecology for these four regions in the Loess Plateau,and provides suggestions for the regional coordinated development of ecology-economy-society system.The main results are as follows:(1)From 1996 to 2016,the economic aggregate,economic quality,economic structure and other indicators of regional economic development,total population,employment structure,community development and other indicators of regional social development in Ansai county,Changwu county,Yuanzhou district and Ji county have been improved,but there is a large regional heterogeneity.It shows that the regional ecological restoration project has played a good role in promoting the local social and economic development.However,due to the differences in socio-economic basis,geographical factors and ecological environment among counties,the social economy of different types of regions on the loess plateau is characterized by regional differentiation.(2)Interaction between ecological restoration and incremental changes in social economy: the impulse response suggests that a significant feed-back between economic development and ecological restoration in four loess regions.Economic development and ecological restoration contributed greatly to the social development,but there are differences between counties.The promotion of social development on economic development and ecological restoration needs to be improved.The results of variance decomposition showed that the ecological restoration of Yuanzhou district promoted the growth of social economy,and the development of social economy promoted the progress of medical cause.In Ansai county,ecological restoration and economic growth have mutual promoting effects,and both the increase of social economy and ecological restoration have promoting effects on medical progress.The ecological restoration and economic increment in Jixian county have mutual promoting effect,economic growth and ecological restoration have promoting effect on the medical cause;The ecological restoration of Changwu county can promote the social and economic growth.(3)Analysis of feed-back effects between ecological restoration and changes in socioeconomic structure: the impulse response indicates that there is a mutual promotion between ecological restoration and social-economic incremental changes,the mutual promoting effect of various indicators between ecological restoration and social and economic structure on other indicators will lag for one year.Economic structure indicators and social structure indicators is less interacted,while the ecological restoration indicators and social-economic structure indicators is significantly interacted.The results of variance decomposition show that the level of ecological restoration in Yuanzhou district has an obvious promoting effect on the change of industrial structure and the development of educational undertakings,and the change of industrial structure also has a promoting effect on the development of local educational undertakings.The industrial structure and ecological restoration in Ansai county promote each other,and the industrial structure and ecological restoration can promote the development of education.The change of industrial structure in Jixian county can promote the development of education.The ecological restoration in Changwu county has an obvious promoting effect on the industrial structure,and the change of industrial structure and ecological restoration have an obvious promoting effect on the development of education.(4)The theory of planned behavior(TPB)and binary logistic regression model shows that the household's ecological restoration behavior could significantly promote their perception of social-economic benefits,however,household's life habit and the limitation of living condition results in a coordination between the living behavior and system.Based on the above conclusions,the following suggestions are proposed :(1)the relationship between ecological restoration and social-economic development should be handled integratively,and a long-term mechanism for implementing ecological restoration policies should be established;(2)public services and infrastructure construction should be strengthened,and improve the level of education and medical care should be improved to promote economic development and ecological restoration;(3)people's lives and social programs should be improved,and related ecological restoration and supporting social and economic policies should be formulated based on local conditions;(4)implementation effect of household's policies should be followed up,and supporting measures should be adjusted timely,and the main behavior of the coupling system should be strengthened.
