Research On Dust Measurement And Prevention Measures In The Coal Face

The coal face produce the largest dust in mine. The dust concentration inunderground production far beyond the health standards formulated by the stateseveral times or even hundreds of times.Dust may cause the risk of explosion andpneumoconiosis,and it is a serious threat to the coal mine production and health ofworkers. We need to focus on improving on controlling dust especially respirable dust.A lot of mine‘s design of dust removal system and layout of equipment can’t achievethe best results or be used at key points.The key is that the dust distribution rule is notclear or the inappropriate use of control measures. So it is great significant to studythe distribution rule of the mine dust and dust control measures.The main research results obtained in this article are as follows:1. The distribution rule of concentration in the coal face: The dust concentrationhighest from the source10m is983.6mg/m~3, and then declining rapidly after from thedust source10m.The dust concentration is450mg/m~3in stable after from the dustsource40m and change has been slowing.Dust is falling and captured continuouslyalong the roadway space in the effect of the wind.. The concentration decreases withthe distance from shearer and basically stabilized after a certain distance is reached.2.The distribution rule of granularity in the coal face:The average granularity ofdust which produced by shearer is from11um to32um.The respirable dust’spercentage of total is from17.3%to30%.The dust’s quality percentage whosegranularity is less than20um is increasing along the way.The dust in the size sectionof0um～20um，it’s quality percentage inerease gradually along the way.The dust inthe size section of20um~30um，it’s quality percentage increase first and deerease late.The dust in the size section of30um~100um，it’s quality percentage deerease alongthe way.3. This article provide some suggestions for this mine’s dust prevention andcontrol work, and control the hazards of dust effectively.
