Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei economic zone plays an important role in the national politics, economy and culture. With the development of economy in recent years, the environmental pollution has begun to threaten human heslth. In order to understand the regional atmospheric pollution trend, the observations of NOx, O3, SO2, and PM2.5were conducted at Xinglong station which is represents the regional atmospheric background condition of North China from June2008to August2011. The daily and seasonal changes in the concentration of air pollution were analyzed and the relationship between O3and its precursor-NOx, the second pollutant PM2.5and atmospheric oxidizer0x were also analyzed. The influence of temperature and wind directions to the main pollutants in Xinglong has been discussed. Besides, we also analyzed the effect of short-term and long-term regional transportation on pollutant concentration with HYSPLIT model and the surface meteorological elements. The results were showed as follows:1. The background concentrations of atmospheric pollutants showed greater fluctuation in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. With the increase in the number of motor vehicle and the fast development of industry in the region of North China in2010, the background concentrations of O3, NOx, PM2.5and SO2were increasing obviously, the main atmospheric pollutants O3and PM2.5exceed the standard seriously; because of the increase of NOx and the concentration of O3was on the rise, too. At the same time, the atmospheric oxidizer has increased coupled by the generation process of second aerosol in aggravate in the region.2. There is a certain chemical relationship between O3and NOx, the concentration of O3increase with the rise of the ratio of NO2/NO in the daytime. The ratio of NO2/NO is a symbol of atmospheric oxidizer, the bigger the ratio is, the stronger the atmospheric oxidizer is. Ox has an NO2-independent contribution and an NOx-dependent contribution. The independent contribution can be considered as a regional contribution, the NOx-dependent contribution can be considered as a local contribution and is correlated with the level of primary pollution.3. The correlation analysis indicated that Ox has a positive correlation with PM2.5. The stronger the atmospheric oxidizer is, the bigger the generation of photochemical second partcle make a contribution to PM2.5.4. The atmospheric pollution of Xinglong was seriously influenced by the regional pollution in the south direction in the summer and autumn, when the winds from the north in the winter and spring, clean air has dilution effect for each air pollutant in Xinglong.5. There were two kinds of airflows carrying more pollutants in the summer of Xinglong, which transported the pollutants to this area obviously. These two kinds of airflows gone through the big cities in the south which were been seriously polluted, and the speed of the airflows was slow, which make the air quality in Xinglong become more and more serious easily. Because of the transportation in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the concentration of O3, PM2.5and0x was very high, and the atmospheric conditions began to deteriorate year after year in this area.
