Much attention has been put into the performance of cars, like the capacity ofsaving energy, low-release of waste, safety and comfort, and one of the most effectiveways to meet that demand is to lighten the cars. To reach that goal of lowering theweight and enhancing the safty quality of crash, car-used high and super-high strengthsteel plates which are qualified well, are being widely used in the motocar industry.The key of the hot-stamping technology is the design of the corresponding dieswhich will stamp and quench at the same time. The die has to contain cooling systemto guarantee the structure transformation and the cooling ability of the die itself. Thecooling system of the die determines the quality of the products and as a result, thesystem becomes the core of the die as well as the whole stamping process. Because oftechnical monopoly, documents about the design of the die are scarce at present, andwe could only research all by ourselves.The cooling system continuously cools the products and the die itself. In theloop, the diameter of the cooling conduits, the distance between the conduit and theworking surface or the unworking surface, and between the conduits can make adifference to the cooling effect. This article makes some deep research abouthot-stamping die’s cooling system, depending on the theoretical basis, on the factorsinfluencing the cooling effect and simulates the flow of the cooling water circlingaround the loop by means of numerical simulation, estimates the quantity of heattaken away by the water and through orthogonal test method, we choose a properorthogonal test table and the most effective factor will be found. All these work is helpful to the domestic research of hot-stamping die’s cooling system.Optimized numerical simulation analysis of hot-stamping die’s cooling systemis the main content of this article. Five factors which is the diameter of the coolingconduits, the flow velocity of the cooling water, the distance between the conduits andthe working surface, the distance between the conduits and the distance between theconduits and the side surface, have been chosen. Through orthogonal test method, thelevel of every factor will be determined and then the finite element model will bedefined. Fluid analysis software was used to simulate the situation of the coolingliquid in the loop and we will get the most effective factors and the level of them.We choose three typical model1,4,12and get the figures of temperaturedistribution at different time. We analysed mechanisms of different results and at thesame time,the different increased temperature extent through contrast and get theprobable reasons.
