As the last procedure of paper making, the rewinder also has an importanteffect on the end paper quality like paper machine. That is the reason whyelectrical control system of the rewinder should have higher requirements.Considering the current domestic development situation of rewinder and itselectrical control system, based on the thought of modular design, this paperanalyzes the system hardware and software to optimize the design of electricalcontrol system of rewinder set in the practical project.The modular design thought briefly is introduced in this paper. In view ofdc transmission system characteristics of the rewinder, it makes the analysis ofthe dc drive power module, the main board and interface circuit of the device.For power module, this paper analyzes the characteristics of thyristor, resistanceand capacitance and other power electronic devices of the circuit as well as theselection basis. Also, the function that is completed by the circuit of the mainboard and excitation module and relationship between them are discussed.Interface circuit is the key link as drive device, and the paper mainly expoundsrequirements、types and type selection of the interface circuit.With the mechanical processing and the electrical control system feature ofrewinder analyzed, rewinder is divided into modules and machine processingrequirements, end paper quality standard and rewinding principle of the rewinderare presented in the paper. Build mechanical model of every mechanical moduleand mathematic model of the control system. Through finding the related factorsaffecting end paper quality, optimize the design of electrical control system ofrewinder. The design mainly discusses the control scheme of front and backrollers’ torque difference, i.e. load distribution control scheme and itsoptimization analysis, nip load control scheme and its optimization analysis aswell as tension control scheme and its optimization analysis. Control system program needs to be designed combined with the rewindingmachine processing requirements and the task to be performed. Based on theanalysis of control method and modular program design thought of controlfunction, every program module is designed respectively, such as the loaddistribution control module, nip load control module, tension control module,communication module and so on. In the future, if we design the program of therewinder, we will only modify some parameters in above procedure to meet therewinder control system requirements with different power.Also, PROFINET used in the rewinder control system is studied. Design aset of ac drive system which uses vector frequency converter G120as theactuator, PLC as the control core. The system has stronger practicality andprogress, whose anti-jamming performance is more superior compared withPROFIBUS or MODBUS in industry field. At the same time, data transmissionrate and the stability of rewinder is improved a lot. In the end, the essaysummarizes the whole work including the development trend of the rewinderelectrical control system which paves the way to the direction of the higher speedand more intelligent control.
