The intensity and stability of tension for the Sponge membrane during the winding process have the significant influence to the quality of products and efficiency of the tension control system. During the winding process, the unstable tension must cause the creases, fracture and wandering of the Sponge membrane, which is owing to the peculiarity of flexible material, elastic and frangible. Therefore, the tension controls has become an important technique link in the Sponge membrane wending system. A better tension control strategy can assure the quality of products and working efficiency.With the Sponge membrane rewinding machine as the research object, this article studies the rewinding process flow and related technology, at the same time, designed the rewinding machine hardware and software, and completed the experiment. The experimental results show that the controller needs to be improved. The paper is directed against the dynamic process of the winding system to create a dynamic model of tension winding system and analyze the dynamic relationship between winding coil diameter, speed and tension with theory basis of Hooke’s Law and Motor Dynamic Torque Balance Equation. And on this basis, the article considers to control the motor speed to realize the rewinding of the Sponge membrane. Simultaneously, the article also designs a fuzzy PID controller and feed-forward decoupling controller to control the motor speed. And this paper also uses the speed and tension double closed structure to compensate the tensions and on the basis of the above-mentioned means to model and simulate the tension system.According to the simulation results of MATLAB/Simulink, the system has fast dynamic response, strong anti-interference ability and great control effect by adjusting of the fuzzy PID controller. This result is significance of improving the quality of the Sponge membrane rewind machine and its overall dynamics. The modeling and control strategy of this article has universality.it has reference value to others tension system.
