Rotating drill is a kind of drilling machine which is used to break rock with cutting type drill, and it is more advanced drilling equipment that used in coal industry, chemical industry, building materials and metallurgy mine auxiliary. In recent ten years, with the large mining for coal resources both here and abroad, the demand of rotating drill is gradually growing. However, there is still a wide gap in the development of drilling machine between the small rotating drill which is developed independently in China and the similar one that is advanced abroad when compared. We can found that we still have a long way to go in the development of rotating drill. Traditional technology of physical prototype is still being adopted in our country, which needs to be repeatedly tested and improved, and the developing cycle is long and difficult to achieve the optimal design quality. So, how to introduce the modern design and analysis technology to the research of rotating drill machine to shorten the development cycle, reduce the cost, and improve the quality of the drilling rig is one of the important tasks in research.This paper is based on the cooperative scentific project between teachcers in our universit and an entreprise, the rotating driller is designed for exploiting open coal mine and drilling the deep exploration hole in the seperating project. In this paper, we analzed current theory study condition of drilling machines international and domestic and the artificial sample mechineary.At the very beginning, we designed the working mechanism of the drilling machine. Then, an artificial machinery model was built up based on its design to come up with a real analysis of Dynamics and Dynamics Simulation under the condition of drilling,lifting,downing,afterwards,the artifical machinery analysis is used to prove its design.Based on large amount of the relative references, we applied three-dimensional software "Solid Edge"to build real model for testing, and switches it to the Parasolid format,and then transfered it to the simulating software ADAMS to set up the artifical sample model,and done dynamics and dynamics simulation and analysis. Through dynamics simulation analysis, the real machine can run smoothly, and the drilling depth and running further distance could be reached, meanwhile, the rotating process of the drilling holder could be realized. Through the dynamics simulation analysis and stress-loading analysis on the tank which is used for providing power and pressure to axis when drilling,getting the changing curve when the stress-load is changing.Under minimum working condition of no stress-loading, the stress load of drilling tank is inferior to the fixed pressure provided by the liquid tanker. After finishing drilling, drilling tank could lift the overall system which proves accuracy of the design of work frame.In addition, in order to inspect strength and stiffness of the drilling fram, we came up with an anlysis and calculation in the software ANSYS proving the demand level of strength and stiffness. However, there are some security issues at most places and some stress concentraing at some plances, coming up with the suggestion for improvemen. In this paper, we applied technology of three-dimensional design, virtual prototyping technology and finite elemment analysis to design, study and analyse the rotating drills, and we achieved anticipanted results. The study of this paper provides a new and effective technical method for the design and trial forthe working device of rotating drill and other similar producets, which owns lots of guiding meaning value for engineering application.
