Design And Technological Pre-test Of Anti-Microbial Furniture

With the improvement of people’s living standards, people urgently need anti-microbial furniture products with increasing the requirement of a clean and healthy living and work environment. In this paper, the design of surface anti-microbial furniture was discussed from anti-microbial materials preparation, detection of anti-microbial properties of materials, distribution, to design of surface anti-microbial materials in office furniture.The preparation of anti-microbial materials was mainly done with the experimental methods. The inorganic metal silver ions anti-microbial agents were chosen in different concentrations, and then mixed with melamine resins prepared. The decorative papers were impregnated in the mixture and dried, finally hot-pressed into the melamine impregnated paper decorative board under appropriate conditions. The anti-microbial properties of melamine resin impregnated material were evaluated in flat medium. According to measurement of bacteriostatic circle diameter, the results were discussed with comparison of anti-microbial effect of the inorganic metal silver ions anti-microbial agents in different ratio of concentrations and the different effect to the two kinds of organisms. According to ergonomic principles, the design of the surface anti-microbial furniture was done by theoretical study and statistical analysis of the relatively high contact frequency of furniture parts in the Office action, the specific parts of application in anti-microbial furniture design were determined with the actual situation. The scientific, economic and reasonable applications of anti-microbial materials were taken into account in the design as far as possible.In this paper, this new surface anti-microbial materials have good mechanical properties and significant anti-microbial effects in order to meet the anti-microbial needs of people in the daily office. The healthy furniture with anti-microbial function could be made with the specific ratio of anti-bacterial agents and coatings to cater to the actual need.
