Research On The Negative Ions Functional Artificial Stone

The artificial stone became one of the important decorative materials for its cost and performance advantages. However, poor acid resistance, low surface gloss and few functions were its drawbacks during the application process. To overcome these shortcomings, negative ion functional artificial stone with healthcare effect were studied.The effect of particle size, structure, composition of Tourmaline powder and the effect of CeO2qualitiy on the negative ion function were studied by the methods of SEM, XRD, XRF. Affter the composite negative ion functional powder with CeO2was modified by the process of oil affinity, the UVCC coating were prepared by the composite negative ion functional powder with CeO2and resin. The coating was painted on the surface of the artificial stone, and the properties of the products were analyzed by SEM, XRD, XRF and contact angle tester.The conclusions were summarized as follows:(1) The negative ion concentration of Tourmaline powder was related with ball milling time, particle size distribution and composition.(2) The negative ion concentration of1200mesh negative ion powder mixed with30%CeO2increased from197ions/cm3to586ions/cm3, then it reached828ions/cm3affer through heat treatment of900℃by1hour.(3) When the composite negative ion functional powder with CeO2was modified by3%KH-570at the reaction temperature of70℃for80min, its oil affinity was best.(4) The best process condition of acid pickling for inorganic artificial stone pretreatment was0.8mol/L H2SO4corroding for30s.(5) The surface properties of artificial stone was improved after coated with negative ion UVCC. When the content of negative powder was15%, the negative ion concentration of negative ion UVCC coating on the surface of artificial stone was above500ions/cm3, the hardness value of the surface was4H, the adhesion of the surface was grade1, the luster of the surface was above90°, and the acid resistance ability and antifouling property were good.This study was highly valuable for application. The negative ion powder with a higher negative ion concentration was prepared based on tourmaline powder; Besides, the function of negative ion healthcare was provided by artificial stone with negative ion functional UVCC.
