Squeeze casting, which has been referred to as liquid forging, is a metal-forming process, which combines permanent mould casting with die forging into a single operation where molten metal is solidified under applied hydrostatic pressure. This technology has been widely used in field of aerospace, defense, traffic tools, due to its major advantages such as decreasing casting defects improving component mechanical properties and energy-saving, and the casting material also extended to aluminum, zinc, magnesium and various alloy materials, as well as many composite base material. Squeeze casting technology will have good prospects for development, because of more strained for energy and higher requirement for mechanical properties in the future. The development of equipment contributes to the promotion of the process, Since research and development of our country squeeze casting equipment Lagged behind the Europe and other developed countries, independently developing efficient, high-quality squeeze casting equipment can not only help to promote our country research and development ability for squeeze casting equipment, but also Contribute to the application and promotion for our country squeeze casting technology.In this paper, according to the research of the overall structure of2500kN horizontal squeeze casting equipment and its key technologies, enhanced the performance of squeeze casting equipment. First, through the analysis of the functional requirements of process of production of squeeze casting, the overall structure and related subsystems of2500kN horizontal squeeze casting equipment, including the clamping system, injection system, rack, automatic pickup device, spraying equipment are introduced. In view of the clamping system and the injection system is the key devices of squeeze casting equipment, this paper focuses on the study of the following:1.From perspective of promotion of the device clamping force, analyzed and optimized the clamping structure by use of parametric design capabilities of ADAMS software.2.Multi-rigid body systems and rigid-flexible coupling system were use to the analysis of the coupling system, by using the ADAMS software, and the motion characteristics of the coupling system was got and improved.3.Designed the temperature gathering device for injection system, since the importance of its temperature during the work. This paper analyzed the clamping system, from the perspective of dynamics, optimized the agency and increased the clamping force. In the view of kinematic, the design method to optimize the kinematic characteristics was put forward. Through the research of the structure and characteristics of injection system, the temperature gathering device for injection system was designed.
