Stable and high-quality baked anode is the important guarantee of large-scale aluminium electrolysis cell production and the key of current intensify and yield increase to all aluminium plants. And Baking is the key process during the whole production. In this paper, through analyzing the structure and working characteristic of baking system, and designing system experiment, system process was optimized and energy saving achievement was obtained as follow.(1) Based on the structure of the first period baking furnance, the second period baking furnance with structure more reasonable and production more stable was developed by trial and error. This refined furnance showed better comprehensive performance and could make burning more fully.(2) By optimizing baking curve, baked anode quality was ensured more and baking yield was increased by7.88%. All kinds of unit consumption and production cost were decreased. Moreover, it benefited to environment obviously.(3)By optimizing combustion system, working environment and labour intensity were mended, which guarantied hot work safety. Moreover, sufficient burning brought50m3/t lower coal gas consumption, better furnance room operating environment, longer furnance service life.(4)By optimizing auxiliary equipment, baking system was perfected from detail, which laid a foundation for improving product quality and decreasing unit consumption.
