Prebaked anode (carbon anode, anode block, anode for short) production is one of themost important process in the modern aluminium electrolysis. Anode is recognized to theheart of aluminium cell. Since modern aluminium electrolysis is progressing towards larger,higher efficiency and energy saving, the demand for prodcution scale and quality of anode isincreasingly high. As the imoporant proce of the anode production, baking has a great effecton the anode quality, service life of the baking furnace, energy consumption of anode and theenvironment protection. Therefore, it’s very important to research on the baking furnace andbaking control etc.Based on the development of anode baking furnace technology in Jinan Aohai CarbonProducts Co., ltd, this article makes further research on the organizational design of bakingfurnace, heat preservation technology, loading technology, automatic burner control systemand environment protection and treatment, which breaks through the traditional thought of thefire and structure of pits, optimizes the organizational design of baking furnace, ensures thesufficient buring of volatile matter, results in more uniformed temperature distribution in thefurnace, Reduces the heat loss by using high-temperature resisting insulation materials andoptimazing insulation design. By combining different type of anodes in loading process,increases the plot ratio of the pits and reduces the energy consumption. The gas consumptiongoes down by using new burning control system and changing the temperature curvescientificly. Using new high-effiency equipments to achieve the energy saving and andenvironment protection.All technologies and improvements above said proves to be complete sets of technologyin the anode baking process, which makes the energy consumption to be1.86GJ/t, than theinternational advanced level of recognized (1.96GJ/t) decreased by5.1%, stabilizes thequality of baked anodes, acceptance rate up to more than98%, improves the anode behavior,and increases the service life fo the baking furnace.This article resolves the generic technical difficulties on baking furnace and anodebaking, meets the national requirements on energy conservation and reduction anddevelopment direction of industrial policy. It can be applied widely and be more competitive.
