Near-infrared dye is an important type of organic functional dyes, mainly referring to the dyes that the absorption wavelength is above700nm in the near-infrared area. Owing to its function in near-infrared region, Near-infrared dyes are widely used in DSC as light absorbers addtion and they can also be used for laser protection, anti-aging of the polymer material, disc recording, infrared laser Q-dye, stealth materials, and can also used for the preparation of near-infrared filters for night vision compatible lighting devices.In recent years, researchers synthesize many dyes with special function hiring8-8H-acenaphthylene-[1,2-b] pyrrole-9-Nitrile as precursor,and these dyes can be applied in the field of labeling and bio-analytical.The synthesis of8-8H-acenaphthylene-[1,2-b] pyrrole-9-Nitrile hired acenaphthene quinone as the starting material, after the reaction with malononitrile, cyclization by alkali catalysis. The nucleophilic groups are synthesized by2-methyl-benzothiazole,2-methyl-benzoxazole and2,3,3-trimethyl-3H-indole respectively reacting with iodine oxide and1,3-propane sultone. Five near-infrared dyes are synthesized by nucleophilic substitution reactions.We optimized the experimental conditions such as the solvent and alkali catalyst, and we choose DMSO and acetonitrile as solvents, potassium carbonate as base catalyst according to the yield and reactivity.The spectral property is the most important property for any dye,and we measured the absorption spectra and molar extinction coefficient of the five near-infrared dye, and analyzed the absorption spectra of dyes in different solvents and the factors that would affect the spectrum. We would improve the performance of all aspects of dyes by structure modification by the reference to the character of the synthetic dyes, so as to lay a solid foundation for the group’s fkkuture work and enable research work to have good continuity.
