Because rock mass property and environment underground are complicated, accidents in the mine caused by instability of rock mass during mining occupy great proportion. Analyzing the stability of stope and its surrounding rock can classify rock mass, discriminate hazardous rock mass zone, therefore corresponding safety strategies can be put forward to make sure safe, efficient and continuous mining.Based on the project "research on underground stope span stability in San-shan island", back-grounded by mining Xin-li ore district, through geological investigation, rock physics test and field monitoring, apply fuzzy mathematics and distance discriminating theory, numerical calculation and simulation, rock mass property and stability are deeply analyzed, reasonable supporting are ascertained and safe monitoring is carried out by monitoring displacement of rock mass layer. Follow researches are obtained:(1) Through field investigation, spread of underwater, underground stress and structural are acquired. By rock physics test, basic physics parameters of ore and rock are get.;(2) Analyze different rock classification method and rock property influencing factor, rock mass property evaluation indexes are obtained. Introduce distance discriminating method into fuzzy math and transform discriminating into Membership Matrix, Relative Membership Degree is confirmed objectively and comprehensive evaluation model based on distance discriminating method is established;(3) Apply Surpac Software,3-dimension model of Pioneering transportation system and ore body are established. Based on the result of rock classification, statistics rule of rock classification are established. Through establishing block model and distance power inverse method,3-dimension visualization of rock mass property in the ore district are realized;(4) Based on the result of rock classification, combined with mining program and actual condition of rock mass property IV region, computational model of U-shaped unstable region is established by ANSYS software, displacement and stress caused by mining are simulated and analyzed;(5) According to rock mass property instability of U-shaped stope and its rock mass classification, different supporting measures are designed. Through monitoring displacement subsidence of overlying rock layer, safe monitoring to the stop is realized to make sure safe production.
