The development of rural economy and the promotion of peasant’s income, as well as the increase of agriculture, take a huge significant to the harmonious development of our nation. Since the policy of reform and opening up, the economy of rural area in China has achieved remarkable development. However, natural ecological system has been destructed, and water pollution problem in rural also been aggravated. Therefore, water pollution problem in rural has become a research focus of both academe and government. The thesis concludes three parts:In the first part, we introduce the present statues, sources, harm as well as the historical reason of water pollution in rural area, and points out that the non-point pollution, as the main form of water pollution, takes great effect on both agriculture and human being. To step with, we analysis the economical reason for water pollution with the theory of externalities, and give the source of market failure and public failure. In the second part, we specifically analyze the economical loss of water pollution in rural area. We also take Beisu town of Zoucheng city as an example to study this research. Firstly we introduce the present statues and the source of water pollution of this town, then, we compute the loss of agriculture, livestock breeding, fishing industry as well as the health from human being by taking relative data respectively. The result show that the total loss in the year of2010reach to2.32million Yuan.In the third part, we introduce the related measurement for effectively solving the issue of water pollution in rural area, which includes the object and the policy style of managing water pollution in rural area. To step with, we also propose series policies in order to points out that only with these policies, can our economy in rural area reach sustainable development.
