This paper research on the water environmental protection and low-carbon city building inTianjin. However, theshortage of water resources and drop in the quality of water environment are the main restrictionfactors that affect the further development of Tianjin. In recent years, the problems of sustainableeconomic and social development, greenhouse effect and the resulting global climate change haveattracted more and more national attention in the world, and put forward the development modeof Low-carbon economy and Construction of a low carbon city in this background.This paper first introduced the Theoretical basis of water environmental protection and lowcarbon cities in Tianjin, and expounds the related concept with water environmental protectionand low carbon cities; finally locate the relationship of water environment protection and lowcarbon cities construction. And also summarize the Common features, revelations andexperiences in water environment protection and low carbon cities construction in Japan, Canada,Sweden and other countries.
