Mine hoist is pivotal equipment in mine production. It joins aboveground and underground. It plays a very important role for mine production and safety. With the innovation of power electronics technology, AC speed-adjusted through frequency conversion has rapid development with broad applications. Because of broad applications of AC speed regulation, performance of speed regulation of mine hoist has been greatly improved.Based on the requirements and characteristics of the mine hoist operation, combined with present situation of the frequency conversion technology development, the speed regulation system has been optimized in this article. It provides reformative DTC technology with vector subdivision. It is better to solve the problem that there is much pulsation for torque during mine hoist in low-speed operation. DTC technology has rather easy algorithm, also it has fast response, and it is easy to implement. It is ideally suited for large inertia of motion control systems which need fast response. Because it use PWM rectifier, so power factor of hoist has been improved, and energy can actualize bidirectional flow, also energy utilization has been optimized.On the basis of delving into the traditional direct torque control of torque pulsation, it provides two methods of decreasing torque pulsation:one is designing a new type torque controlling; the other is vector subdivision. We have done simulation experiments for both traditional DTC and second generation DTC by using MATLAB7.4. Under laboratory conditions, we have done experiments on speed-adjusted system through frequency conversion, we focus on the inverter part which including the main circuit, power supply module, signal detection circuit, protection circuit designing and the preparation of software. So that we verify the feasibility of second generation DTC, and achieve closed-loop controlling on torque, flux and speed. The fast response of torque reflects the characteristics of DTC. It shows that the system has good performance of speed regulation, and high control accuracy. It can effectively improve the performance of mine hoist, and achieve energy saving.
